USA Track & Field (USATF)
USA Track and Field is the official
governing body for
The San Diego-Imperial USATF Association is the local branch of the national USATF organization in Californias San Diego and Imperial counties. The mission of the San Diego-Imperial Association of USATF is to provide vision and leadership to the sport of Athletics in San Diego and Imperial Counties and to promote the pursuit of excellence from youth to masters, from grass roots to the Olympic Games. We sanction and record local track and field events in behalf of the national USATF, implementing and interpreting its rules and regulations. We are a volunteer-run, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization (2013 tax return and 2014 budget).
San Diego-Imperial USATF publishes schedules of
local events (click on the links to the left). Our members include male and female
athletes of all ages and developmental levels, including club, school, college and
university athletes, and certified officials. We recruit, train, and certify
event officials; coach youth athletes; present annual awards; recruit and train
volunteers; and educate the public about track and field.
